Nice compact sander. June 25, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is a little "buzzy" in your hand, but very good value. Nice sander, dust port, nice case.
For the money, hard to beat.
Excellent Sander at a Great Price May 23, 2007 This sander comes fully equipped with a hard case, ample supply of sandpaper and a very nice LONG electrical cord. With its dust collection capability and vacuum port, it can be used with no mess.
The power is substantial. It does a nice job very quickly. I have porter cable sanders and this compares nicely. The price was under eleven dollars. This is hard to believe. It is worth its list price.
Great 2 in 1 sander July 27, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is definitely a cool sander, I call it a 2 in 1 as it does all the finishing jobs and with the piont on the front I can get into the tight areas. I looked at the mouse and this one and decided on this as it seems more practical, no need for me to buy all those accessories with the mouse that I probably would never use. This does all the small jobs I need it to do and when I have a larger job I use my belt sander first and smooth things off with this one. Its not designed to do heavy work all day but handles the small jobs with ease. I really like the soft grip that helps keep the vibration down and is also small enough for my wife to use.
I miss the cool mouse features July 20, 2006 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
I also compared this to my Black & Decker Mouse, and I'm disenchanted. I miss all the neat attachments that come with the mouse for detail fininshing. I have a higher powered 1/4 sheet sander for my more agressive work and reserve my Mouse for all the fine details. the GMC just doesn't get in all those tight places. If you're using this sander as your primary sanding tool, you'll be there a long time. Try stepping up to a 1/4 sheet or a Ros (with a little more muscle) and buy a new mouse to get into those impossible spots.
Kat attacks mouse June 13, 2006 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
My B&D mouse gave up in a puff of blue smoke even though it hadnt done a lot of work so I decided to change brands. Hadnt heard anything about GMC so I looked on their website, Australian company who look lke they have some pretty good looking tools. Bought this sandkat as it takes the mouse paper and am wrapt I did, its got more power than the mouse & is comfortable to handle. Will be giving GMC another look when I need some more tools.
