 Great card for very little money!! November 19, 2008
Card dropped right in and worked flawlessly. Can't beat the price anywhere for this card. I searched a number of different sites for a similar card and none were this cheap. This one also comes with a 4 pin DV cable, which is what my customer needed to capture video off his Digital Camcorder. Absolutely cannot beat the $$ along with Amazon Prime free 2 day shipping. I highly recommend this card.
 NOT HOT SWAPPABLE!! November 19, 2008
I know it doesn't say it is hot swappable but why would you advertise that it's good for transferring digital video from your camcorder to your computer if everytime you connect and disconnect from your computer you have to shut it down first. If you are going to use this card for external drives that are always hooked up and turned on then this product is for you. But that's all its good for. If you plan on transferring video to your computer having it hot swappable is a must. Also the card came with a firewire cable in the package so now I have an extra firewire cable and I could have saved $10.

I needed a FireWire connection for my video camera and this was the cheapest available. Works fine and even came with a cable.
The Firewire Cable comes with the card, this has been a great way to download my vedio. September 1, 2008
The IEEE1394 firewire card comes with a cable and has been a great way to download my vedio to my PC. If you have a camcorder that downloads with both UBS and Firewire, you will find that the firewire is much better.
Simple install, works fine August 21, 2008
Just plugged it into an available slot on a XP machine and it worked right after the first boot up. Couldn't have been easier.
