Smooth, clear with many of the attributes of condenser microphones but with the ability to reproduce a wider dynamic range without pads and clipping. The frequency response is very flat from 30-15,000Hz and the panoramic sound-field is well balanced. The figure-8 bi-directional pattern offers excellent rejection at the sides, the ribbon is lengthwise providing a side-address type microphone. Great for any instrument or vocals.
