| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The double-layer DVD+R medium is the newest technology breakthrough in optical discs. The advanced, single-sided disc has an amazing 8.5GB of storage capacity, enough for up to four hours of DVD-quality video, 16 hours of VHS-quality video, or over 120 hours of MP3 audio. It is compatible with all current DVD video players and DVD-ROM drives as well as new DVD+R DL drives, the disc is ideal for virtually any business or household application.New technology allows material to be either read or recorded on one layer without affecting material on the other layer. An important advantage of the double-layer configuration is convenience. It allows users to read, write, or view nearly twice the amount of data than with the currently popular single-layer 4.7GB DVD discs without having to flip sides or change discs.

Waste of money and time. September 29, 2008 I used both a Sony and HP burners with varying success on these discs. Even if the disc was successful on burning, the disc often skipped or froze with errors upon playback. I also found out that the organic dye deteriorates after about a year so that a disc that worked for back up a year ago will often not be playable months later.
No successful burns yet September 3, 2008 I've gone through half of my 25-pack and each one has resulted in a failed burn, on two different drives (Sony and LG) and all different speeds. I get perfect burns at default settings with Verbatim DL blanks, so I will be sticking with Verbatim from now on. I appreciate that everyone will have different experiences, but I can't personally recommend the product as it has been a complete failure for me.
Not very reliable disks June 5, 2008 I had purchase these several times. The last two cakeboxes I got only burned 5 discs correctly. I got error codes or they would not burn at all. Maybe a bad batch since the previous ones I purchased did a better job, failing only a couple of times.
Ridata Media A++++ January 21, 2008 I was a little worried when first trying this off brand name "Ridata" compared to Memorex, Sony, Maxell, and so called other big brand names. However I took the leap and was very satisfied with there product. Not only do they support the printable dual layer formats (which the others do not) there price compared to the others were better too. There quality is 2nd to none as well. A+ across the board if your looking for printable media!!!!
Pure garbage for me...... December 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The worst, all-coasters, batch of junk I have ever tried to use....three machines burned them and all with tons of read errors. Good luck to you if you buy these....
