 Does not work at all on my powerpc dual g5 w/2 gig ram, os10.4.11 December 31, 2008
I am an adept computer and audio user and this product has failed to work even once in the 20 or so times I have tried using it. my scenario: dumping vhs tapes onto the mac via the pinnacle dazzle. the tape and vcr are fine. i have used both the rca and s-video inputs. what happens is severe pixelation of the video image rendering the recording pointless if you want to preserve it for future viewing. the audio has also recorded out of sync with the video on most tests. I tried multiple usb inputs on my mac, different ways of connecting the cables (all connected then play tape, connect as tape is playing which is what the software instructs though I don't think it matters). I cannot find any help on the product website - only a firmware update that comes up under the mac search but gives instructions for a pc firmware update??? back to the drawing board...
Don't Ignore the Bad Reviews! December 13, 2008
This is the second time I've bought Pinnacle Video Capture - Once for the Mac, and once for the PC. Both times the software that came with the box didn't work, rendering the hardware useless. The update for the Mac available on their website doesn't solve the problem either. I'm getting my money back and hopefully you will avoid wasting yours.

Learn from my mistakes. Degraded video, loss of sync, does not work with iMovie. Spend the bucks and go with the Canopus ADVC55.

I didn't knew Amazon had this item till i fount out by a friend. As soon as i heard i rushed to buy it, what was more surprising was that it was cheap! i placed it in my cart, but i didn't had any money...haha
2 to 3 days later i added money to my card and bought it, i got the overnight shipment and it is infact overnight, i couldn't even sleep!
nice product dough!
