Husbands Favorite July 8, 2008 Couldn't find these in our local grocery store - had to have them for Father's Day gift for my husband. He loved getting a whole case of his favorite breakfast treat! (so did our daughters)
the best flavor of pop tart June 27, 2008 These are the best pop tarts ever! When my sisters and I were little, it's the only kind we would eat, until they became hard to find. Now that we've found them again (available only online!) they are the only kind my daughter will eat! I don't understand why they aren't sold in stores, I've run into quite a few people online who have been searching for them, since they are the best! If you've never tried them, I recommend buying them, everybody we've given them to has loved them!
Hot, frozen, or straight from the box....Yummmm! February 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoy Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Chocolate Vanilla Creme hot, frozen, or straight from the box. Easy to eat on the go, which is most of the time for me. They're just sweet enough and I still crave them even after devouring a few boxes by myself. As another reviewer stated, I haven't burnt out on these as quickly as other products. Unlike other reviewers, I had not searched everywhere for these prior to my order from Amazon....but I have since observed that they are not available locally. Shipping was quick, arrived in good condition, and with expiration dates several months down the line....but they won't make it anywhere near that long! (I ordered them on an Amazon special and will order when they go on sale again.)
Finally, my childhood favorite! October 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been making do with the chocolate fudge for years, secretly yearning for these instead. Oh, the slight sweetness of the chocolaty carb wonderfulness combined with the great mouth-feel, texture and taste of the vanilla iceningy goodness. Not too sweet, not too bland -- just right (and I've always loved the weird little sprinkly things on these too). I usually eat mostly organic when I can, but yeah -- I make TOTAL exception for these! (The cinnamon/brown sugar ones are good in their own right, but sometimes cinnamon/brown sugar is just not what a person wants :))
As others have stated on here, these have become almost impossible to find elsewhere. And apparently here, too, since they seem to be out of stock quite a bit often (bummer).
These make a good substitute for cookies if you're trying to eat better but don't wanna go whole-hog on the nutrition express -- they totally fulfill the same craving, have some inherent portion control, and are almost definitely a lot better for you than oreos. And of course -- kids love em too. :)
My advice? If they're available, grab em and run with it. They have a reasonable shelf-life, and they're far harder to burn out on than most sweet treats you'll find by the case on Amazon.
Finally... I can get my favorite flavor! June 17, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Chocolate Vanilla Creme Pop Tarts were my favorite flavor when I was growing up... now they are impossible to find in the NYC area. I know this for a FACT... Several years ago my friends and I competed in a MENSA Scavenger Hunt and won. We had the honor of making up the list the following year. I suggested to my friends that they add "Vanilla Pop Tarts" to the list, as I was actually hoping that someone would find them and tell me where I could get them! Not one team actually found them. All of my friends know how much I love them, and how difficult they are to find in NYC, that when they travel to other states, they bring me back boxes if they are available. On a recent trip to Las Vegas, one couple actually found them in great supply and, while our other friends received souvenir gifts of t-shirts, keychains and other various items, I got a shopping bag filled with boxes of Vanilla Pop Tarts! So, when I saw that Amazon.com had them readily available, I bought myself a case last year on my 40th Birthday! THANK YOU AMAZON.COM FOR SAVING ME THE AIRFARE TO VEGAS!!!
