 very effective February 19, 2008
I used this product to cover the plug for my daughter's monitor. Since installing (easy to do) she actually has not gone near any outlets. The only down side is that the cover only allows one small brick plug rather than being able to utilize both outlets.

I purchased this product to keep my curious 16-month-old daughter from pulling plugs out of the outlets... and it works like a charm. It was very easy to install. I have them all over the house! I highly recommend, as it's one less thing you, as a parent, need to worry about.

This product works perfectly in my home. It's easy to put up, easy to plug and unplug by removing the cover, though my 2 and 3 year olds have yet to figure out how to remove the cover themselves. I even have one of these in each of my childrens room, for this is easier to use when vacuuming than trying to wrestle out the safety caps.

I agree with the other reviewer that these are a great idea. Unfortunately, almost every outlet in our house has the Leviton-brand square cutouts. These aren't usable with those style (like this Do it Best Grounding Decora Outlet ) recepticles.

This product is difficult to use, especially if you have two cords plugged in to the same outlet. It is extremely difficult to get the cover on. The space for the cord is so small, you have to be very precise about where you place the cord. In the one case that I actually got the cover on, I could not get it off.
