I've never been entirely satisfied with any electric shave, or shaver, but this product at least makes it tolerable. This is the best pre-shave electric razor product I've ever used. It goes on easily, doesn't overly dry the skin, lets/helps the beard hairs stand-up, and leaves my face feeling good afterwards - not dried-out like alcohol-based pre-shaves do. If you choose to use an electric razor, you want to try this product.

My husband uses Face Saver with his electric razor. He has a skin condition which makes it difficult to shave and this is the best product he has found to help.

I have been using the facesaver sticks for almost 2 years. I have tried the liquid pre-shaving lotions and these and the sticks are a lot better.
Very simple to use, it helps the shaver slide through the skin and you get no irritation. I find that is better to use it in the mornings after you shower or wash your face. I've notice that in the mornings after you shower or wash your face the hair grows a little bit, you use the stick and shave and you don't have to wash you face again. If you leave the powder on your face after you shave also helps if you have oily skin. After you shave there is almost no residue of the powder.

I have been using these sticks for many years and they do a great job of helping to keep your face from getting razor burn from daily shaving. Really fantastic, but......
Remington decided to "improve" the scent. I was revolted when I tried the new ones with the white/red/blue cap. The increase of 'parfum' is too much and just stinks - imho. What used to be a pleasant experience first thing in the morning has turned into a trial. I keep thinking I'll get used to it but I never have. Hmmm.....maybe noseplugs.
I would not recommend buying these in bulk, (as I used to do) until you've tried one to see if you can handle the smell.
After further research looking for a non-scented version, I found that Parks, Eltron, and Remington all seem to come from the same manufacturer in Switzerland. They all have the same smell. However.......
There is a version out there without the scent which is great!
It's called Derma Bloc Pre Shave Powder Stick - it's the same as the others without the intense SMELL.
