 Pure Bliss and I Found Out First Hand ! October 13, 2008
I picked up a recent issue of Wired magazine and found a short review and story about the Groom Mate Platinum XL nose hair trimmer. The person who wrote the article described the Platinum XL as "pure bliss". I thought that it was a bit odd for a techie magazine to be writing a piece about such a lo-tech gadget. I was intrigued enough to purchase one through Amazon as soon as I could get in front of my computer.
First of all, the customer service was great. The shipment arrived just 2 days after I purchased the trimmer which was 4 full days before the earliest ETA. Thank you!
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I first opened the package. The Platinum XL is very compact but also very heavy. It turns out that it is pure stainless steel which explains the weight. I used it immediately and really did not think that it was working.
I have been so accustomed to experiencing pain, usually pulling of my nostril hairs when I have used previous battery operated nose hair trimmers. Using the Platinum XL was pain free and simple. A few simple
twists back and forth and the hairs were gone. I was simply amazed!
The best part about this trimmer is that it is made in this country, the USA, that it is completely ECO friendly, and that the company offers an unconditional lifetime warranty. Out of curiosity, I emailed PHR Systems, the manufacturer of this trimmer, to find out what that means.
They replied back to me almost immediately to let me know that no matter what happens to my trimmer even if I misuse it or drop it that they will replace it free of charge and no questions asked.
As they say in their item description this will most likely be the last nose hair trimmer that I will ever have to purchase.

Platinum XL Rated The BEST Because It Is October 9, 2008
Whenever I see a product that users say is the best nose/ear hair remover on the market, I am somewhat skeptical ... OK very skeptical since the unit isn't even electric powered.
Well, how wrong I was. I like the manual method of guiding the cutting area with one hand and rotating the cutting portion with another hand. Makes for a very effective trimming of the entire area. and as far as performance, the Platinum XL is far superior to any other nose/ear trimmer that I have ever owned. It is built like a tank and should provide many years of outstanding performance.
Should mention that the folks at Groom Mate had this item delivered to my home in only four days from placing the order.

Well, it ain't perfect and it takes some effort but overall, it works better than any other device I've tried. I'd just like to know the reason that the older you get, the more hair grows in embarrassing places. What? There were no hair follicles in our ears and noses when we were young?

Glad I bought this. Well made and does exactly what it says on the tin. Its better at nose hair trimming than ear hair, but still a good product. Handy size and no batteries required. Very useful, much better than any electric nasal hair clipper I've ever used.
