5 out of 5 stars Just add lemon juice and go!   May 31, 2008
You don't have to drain this--just add lemon juice or vinegar and whatever vegetables (celery, pickles) you like in tuna salad and you're good to go. It is also great, again with lemon juice, over pasta or lettuce. Great price, too.

5 out of 5 stars One taste, you will give up albacore tuna for life.   May 11, 2008

Yes, this is true . I treat myself and my loved ones with quality food at affordable prices. This tuna I had as a boy growing up and today it tastes even better. Don,t forget this tuna is not albacore, it is yellowfin. This is a better tasting more expensive tuna, with olive oil. You will agree , with a touch of red onions , a little mayo, and maybe Italian bread or a toasted bagel, or even freshly toasted rye bread with the seeds. Oboy you think you died and went to Heaven. Trust me, Retired Early

5 out of 5 stars Buy this tuna!   April 7, 2008

This is a superb tuna! As a chef I often use imported tuna in olive oil,and this product is equal to the most expensive I have tried! I have read the reviews and people said they received dented cans. All of my cans were perfect, but one shouldn't mind dented as long as they are dented in and not bloated out. The product is imported so through all of it's travels denting happens. At this price, its a bargain! I highly recommend the fine, elegant, tuna flavor, without fishiness! I am sold!

5 out of 5 stars nothing good at the supermarket   March 24, 2008

I order the case because this is good stuff. When the case is gone, I will order another. This tuna is not perfect. Ive had better but not at the supermarket for sure. I like this tuna just out of the can. A few drops of balsamic, hot sauce, lemon and I'm set. The cost is unbeatable for the quality you get and the enjoyment factor.
It is not because I am Italian or anything. I just have a keene sense of what is good and bad tuna. I simply cant do anything with the popular brands out there, maybe you can. My cousin Betty was a master tuna salad maker girl and ever since Ive been searching for that special can. This tuna won the taste test championship tournament not too long ago by the way.
Great job Progresso

5 out of 5 stars Best canned tuna ever!   February 10, 2008

This is the first review I have ever written on Amazon, but felt compelled to do so after trying this product.

I have been a tuna eater for over 30 years but never tried (or even heard of)Progresso Tuna. After reading reviews, I took a chance and purchased a case from Amazon. I was richly rewarded. Without question the best canned tuna I have ever eaten. I will never go back to Starkist or Chicken of the Sea. There is virtually no fishy odor when you open the can and the meat is nice and chunky, not the fishy mush that you get when you open some of the other brand's products. And I did not have any problems with dented cans as a couple of reviews had mentioned.

Consider me hooked.
