Great Taste ! May 10, 2008 Like everything else in this world is the old saying..... "if it tastes good its not good for you" sooooooo go ahead and live a little and enjoy the wonderful taste this gives coffee or espresso....whats good especially is the "sugar free" then goes back to the world of eating right.....which means bland bland bland.....(except vegetables)Hmmmmmmm coffee bean??? vegetable??? (HaHaHa)
Thank goodness for SF creamer I can hide at work. March 30, 2008 If all of our creamers or coffee flavorings were rated by their good-for-you factor, we would probably have to stop drinking simple coffee to begin with. (I've also used the sf vanilla syrup, which doesn't have the same creamer effect; to achieve that you'd have to add another dairy product, which defeats the purpose for some specifically restricted diets like mine.) (I don't have to worry about fat content, though.)
On my planet, I'm just really happy to have found a sugar-free alternative to the coffee creamer I thought I'd have to give up forever. The powdered form guarantees that I can take this to work without having it stolen from the community refrigerator (and for the fat-conscious people who don't want to give up their creamer, there is a lowfat/fat free version out there). The sugar free version doesn't stray too far from the original vanilla Coffeemate. The only complaint I have is that Amazon doesn't carry the SF liquid vanilla version that I can keep at home.
Coffee in and of itself can be a guilty pleasure (caffeine, added sugar, dental stains...); I would recommend this product to anyone who wants the effects of a regular powdered creamer who has very strict natural sugar limits.
Great tasting, but very unhealthy January 4, 2008 This used to be a staple at my house. This powdered, sugar-free creamer imparts a rich creamy taste to coffee, eliminating the need for cream, sugar, and flavored syrup. This creamer is also lactose-free! It also is a tremendous savings over the liquid Coffee-Mate because you use so little. Unfortunately, the very first ingredient listed is partially hydrogenated coconut or palm kernal oil, which health professionals are recommending we steer clear of. The product has a long shelf life, and might be appropriate to keep around for house guests who enjoy adding flavor and cream to their coffee.
An alternative for those who are looking to eliminate lactose and sugar while still imparting flavor to their coffee may want to consider using a soy based coffee creamer along with Torani Syrup, Sugar-Free Vanilla, 25.4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) to acheive a similar, low carb flavor.
Love the Splenda November 23, 2007 I love the fact that you can get this product with Splenda. Wish they offered other flavors with Splenda . Now if they could cut down on the oil it would be a great product.
no significant savings in carbs or calories June 15, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Most of the apparent savings are from a smaller portion on the "sugar free" product when compared to the regular product.
