 Tasty snack, but cashew flavor is overpowered August 20, 2008
The sea salt and pepper blend is a nice one. A perfect mix of pepper to salt, with just enough spicyness from the pepper to give this snack a pungent, tasty flavor. The cashews are high quality and a smooth texture. I love the resealable package which seals in flavor and makes this the perfect on-the-go snack package.
My only complaint is that the salt and pepper flavor though a great and tasty blend slighty overpowers the cashew flavor. I love cashews and thus would like the flavor of the nut to shine through a bit more.
I'd definitely buy this for variety though

I love cashews, and also like a bit of spice added to most foods, so I thought these sea salt and pepper cashews would be interesting.
Unfortunately, the black pepper taste is overwhelming and doesn't really seem to be a good flavor combination to me, the pepper doesn't add to the taste, but ruins the excellent flavor of the cashews.
For someone who REALLY loves black pepper, these will probably be a hit. If you're not a huge pepper fan, I'd skip these and grab the regular Emerald cashews instead.
heavy seasonings get your attention July 27, 2008
Have plenty of water handy. The over-the-top taste of sea salt and cracked pepper nearly overcame all the cashew flavor. The Emerald almonds were much more enjoyable because they were more subtlely flavored.

These cashews have a definite kick to them. They are spicy and would be perfect with an ice cold beer on a hot summer day. The container keeps them fresh. These nuts are highly recommended.

In wondering how to make a yummy snack even yummier, Emerald has answered the question with this product. The seasonings enhance this already highly-esteemed nut. The ground sea salt and pepper is generous as a topping, and the kick of pepper combined with the saltiness covers any savory hankering.
Its size is a boon, as it makes it easier to stow in a backpack, carry-on, or a picnic basket It's also just enough to keep handy in your pantry for last minute guests. I am adding this to my corral of "What's easy to put out and look really put together?"
This is a keeper.
