 Definitely not Garden of Life July 2, 2008
Well, I see all the reviews (except mine) are positive, but I'm totally disappointed in this oil. Can't believe I bought 2 of them. I've been buying Garden of Life coconut oil for years, and I love the rich coconut-ty taste and smell of it. This oil is so bland that in a blindfold taste test between it and some store brand vegetable oil, I probably couldn't tell the difference. Maybe for some that's a good thing. I usually don't give negative reviews, but every time I open the lid of this oil, I get miffed.
It's organic. I guess I'll give it two stars for that. You get what you pay for, and I'll not try to find the best deal on coconut oil next time.
Wonderful Flavor July 1, 2008
I really like the product. It gives a wonderful flavor for anything. I especially enjoy it on my whole wheat bagel in the mornings. We also use it to season our vegetables.

Love coconut oil for cooking, this is one of my favorites.
Let me recommend one of my favorite ways to use it! Marinade some salmon, and cook it in skillet, skin side down, and dump coconut rum on top and rub it in a bit! Never tried marinading it in the coconut rum, but might be worth a try also,, coconut rum, coconut oil and salmon = heaven.

It's hard to experiment with tropical flavors/scents without sometimes erring on the side of being too cloying. The flavor of this oil is so light yet flavorful, it makes even a run of the mill omelet taste exotic and new. I loved the nuttiness of this coconut oil versus other brands I've tried and have found it to be extremely versatile; it works with fish, chicken, eggs, vegetables...even soups and sauces! And who knew it was so good for the health. A great value. I cook with it every day and these two jars have lasted longer than a month. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

This is a great product----tastes wonderful and is really good for you. I keep it by the stove and use it to fry eggs or anything else. It is one of the few oils that is safe to cook at high temperatures and gives you those great omega 3s. If you don't already use it, you don't know what you're missing. I lick it off the spoon so that none of it will be wasted!
