I love using agave as a sweetener in my coffee in the mornings. We use this for iced tea and so many other things as it does not raise your blood sugar levels. Agave is similar in consistency to honey but sweetens like sugar and does not crystallize ever. Love, love, love this product.

I know a lot of people don't want to hear this, but fructose is a major cause of metabolic syndrome, gout, and many other conditions. It doesn't go into your blood stream so it doesn't raise blood glucose, but it doesn't just go away; it goes to your liver and is turned to triglycerides.
High fructose corn syrup is only about half fructose. Agave is almost pure fructose, so it is twice as bad. Fructose is fructose whether it comes from cactus or corn.

I love the nectar and knew that a vendor on Amazon would have it cheaper than Trader Joe's at $2.99 for 11 ounces. I found the vendor, here, and not only was it cheaper, but with Amazon's program to set up auto delivery, it was even more of a deal. What's not to love about that! So high FIVE Five stars to both the vendor and Amazon.

Having a parent with adult onset diabetes led me to try some alternatives for sweetner and avoid the chemicals found in standard restaurant 'sugar' options. This is great. It is very sweet, can be used in place of sugar, honey & we added a smidgeon of maple syrup flavor to it and it acts and tastes like maple syrup as well for FAR less cost and better 'sugar' or glucose impact on the body. We use in recipes, with some modifications, tea, on fruit - etc
We've passed this on to others as well. Buy in multiples - it saves you even more!!

I absolutely love this product. It taste wonderful and there is no after taste. It taste great in coffee, tea,cooking or any other form that you normally would use regular sugar. It is most better for you then sugar. It is natural and does not cause spikes in your glucose level. It is safe for diabetics.
