i've been eating tuna for years and i'm concerned about mercury consumption. this tuna is composed only of smaller tuna as they contain less mercury. the bigger the tuna the more smaller fish it has eaten and each one has it's own mercury content-nice huh? anyway, they haven't had it independently tested, the companies that do charge about twice as much. this is the best i can do for myself on my budget at this time. if you eat alot of fish i recommend that you educate yourself on the mercury content in different varieties. the NRDC (for one) gives this information. i like the taste and i have continued to order this product as a staple.

I have to admit, I was skeptical about this purchase both because of the price and my not so good experience with another brand of pricey healthy tuna from another online vendor but the reviews convinced me. And lucky for me they were right on! I am very finicky about fishy smelling and tasting fish - I know I'm a fish snob. This stuff is delicious. I do wish it were less expensive, but the challenge is if more people buy it and hence allow the price to go down, that also means the demand goes up and some places end up compromising their product. I hope this stuff continues to be of the quality I am now spoiled by!

I bought this by accident, not realizing the price differential, and I was blown away by the quality. The texture, flavor, and moistness in this tuna makes the canned tuna that I regularly eat seem dry and fishy.
I know this is a canned tuna cliche, but you really can eat this one straight out of the can. This is canned tuna that you could hand to your girlfriend who doesn't like canned tuna, and she'd eat it.

This has to be one of the best canned tunas out there! Its always dense, flaky and tasty!
Also, I like the fact that its all caught and processed here in the US and tested for mercury levels.

After trying this tuna, I can't eat other canned tuna any more.
It tastes much better and it is claimed to contain minimal mercury, which makes me feel safe to eat it occasionally.
Wild Planet brand is highly recommended to health conscious gourmet.
