I wanted a waffle mix just like what is available when we travel and breakfast is provided by the hotel/motel. This mix is perfect. I just purchased a waffle maker that mkes a waffle when you turn the iron over (just like in motels/hotels). This mix is great. I add oil instead of margarine and mix water and milk instead of just water.Bon appetit! Enjoy

Excellent! Add the milk in place of the water in the waffle recipe. Very easy and very good. Goldenmalted has their own web site with other varities but it is cheaper here on amazon for the plain original type.

For years I had used another pancake style mix to make my waffles, always longing for a little more malt flavor and a crisper texture that did not get tough. I saw this mix and decided to try it. WOW! The first hint that you are in for a good waffle is the smell of malt and hint of vanilla that comes out of the can when you open it. Following the easy directions, you are going to be in for a real treat. These waffles come out crisp, yet fully tender. They seem to hold their crispness under syrup longer and the flavor brings you back to a time when quality meant something. I highly recommend this product. I also bought the natural mix and it works equally well.

Plenty of folk have praised Carbon's magical waffle mix so I won't tread in their tracks. What I can offer is a delicious alternative using Carbon's magical mix.
I'm from Texas and we put pecans in almost everything. Here is a Pecan Waffle version using the Carbon GM mix:
1 cup CGM mix
1 cup fresh chopped pecans
3/4 cup milk
3 tbsp butter
1 large egg
Beat egg then add milk and melted butter. Follow with waffle mix and pecans. Don't under cook, it should be a little crunchy. Also, don't insult by using anything but real maple syrup and butter. Count calories at some other meal.

The first time I tried this mix was at a hotel a couple of years ago. It was so great I had to write the name of the mix down and look it up online. I've had it several times since then at other hotels but never actually got around to ordering it and in the meantime have tried multiple homemade recipes and store bought mixes hoping to find something as delicious. Well, I never did and simply put... this is hands down THE BEST mix I have ever tried! I finally ordered a case and took it on a family vacation for breakfast. All twelve of my family members thought it was great too. I love the sweet flavor of it and the waffle itself actually tastes good without having to put a bunch of syrup on it (even though I still do). It's great!
