5 out of 5 stars Tasty and Very Healthy   November 9, 2009
John Paul L. Finan (Wisconsin, USA)
There's not much to this dish, mostly just kidney beans and sauce. For $1.85, it's worth it. Just nuke it and add to a cup of soup or serve it over rice, on top of eggs, add it to sauteed onions and/or other veggies, with serve with pork chops or chicken breast or hot dog chunks, whatever you like. You can easily stretch it out by adding it to a can of plain beans, too - I just adda little more curry and add to rinsed beans. That takes the saltiness down a bit, too.

5 out of 5 stars Kitchens of India Red Curry   October 25, 2009
rondie (Wilmington DE)
The three products from Kitchens of India which I tried were all excellent, and typical Indian. My wife liked them too.I particularly liked the Indian Jugalbandi music enclosed with Navratan Korma and Palak Paneer. They were bought from Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars Good flavor for a healthy dish   October 21, 2009
Katie (USA)
I have never seen anything like this on the menu at the Indian restaurants I have been to, but I still enjoy this. It has a very mild flavor and I actually do think it could use a little more spice because it slightly resembles chili and not Indian food. But overall, I think it has a good flavor and it is a pretty low-calorie vegetarian meal. It does have saturated fat, but also a good amount of protein and no cholesterol. The convenience of having it ready from the pouch is why I buy it.

5 out of 5 stars Change your boring lunch   October 13, 2009
Subsnipe (Florida)
I am not Inidan, so this is not a "professional" opinion. I am away from home for most meals. I was looking for something easy to make at the work site and a change to the "usual". Just open the pouch, squeeze into a microwavable dish and a minute later you have a hot vegetarian meal with plenty of flavor. I like all of the Kitchen of Inida products I have tried so far. And if you are storing up some food for emergencies like a hurricane, these store easily for later use.

3 out of 5 stars I agree, it's quite bland   October 6, 2009

I would have to say that I agree with Rocky, the Red Kidney Bean Curry is quiet bland. I am a fan of Indian food and I can say that this doesn't really taste like curry. I am not sure if it was the intention to make it bland or not, but I can't pick out what makes it special. I microwaved the product in a bowl with a lid over it and it came out a bit think and not like a sauce you would expect from curry. The food is not bad, it's just not special.
