i like it! November 3, 2009 Michael Moore (Tempe, Arizona United States) I love indian food, and this is pretty darn good. I've also tried the mashed vegetable curry and this one is better. The curry chicken paste is amazing. Good products! Oh, also this one is vegan, just made in a factory that processes dairy.

Pindi Chana is mildly spicy, tangy, and absolutely delicious when chilled. I don't like it as much hot or at room temperature. Some batches are oily so I drain off excess oil from these. Pretty healthy in terms of the fat to fiber ratio. But like most prepared food, it's high on sodium. I've tried a bunch of other packaged Indian food and Pindi Chana is a notch above the rest.
One of my favorite store-bought Indian pouches October 21, 2009 Katie (USA) I think this one has the best flavor of the Kitchens of India choices. It has a spicy kick to it, but it's not overwhelming. The chick peas are tender and the hunks of potato and bamboo (?) are a nice accent. Overall, this goes great with some basmati rice. The only drawback is this is not one of their healthier items they sell. It doesn't have that much saturated fat in comparison, but it is higher calorie, probably in part because it has a lot of protein (and fiber!) I've never ordered chick peas curry (or whatever you wish to call it) in a restaurant so I cannot compare, but this is a good. The pouch is super-convenient.
Pretty nice taste. September 12, 2009 Z. (PA, USA) very nice taste, a little spicy which highlighted the whole feeling. Real chick peas inside.
Tastes Great! August 30, 2009 Teller (California) Very tasty! And a bit hot. Be sure and cover the bowl with a paper towel when heating in a microwave as it pops and splatters quite a bit, but it's worth it. A bowl of this with a couple slices of bread, or with rice mixed in makes a great fast meal.
