Does not taste good at ALL :( November 16, 2009 S. H. (Chicago, IL) I bought a number of healthy "snack" bars. This one was nasty. It was so bad that I considered spitting out the bite I ate. The "flavor" (there isn't much of one) is disgusting, and the texture is not good either. I have had an actual brownie made with whey protein from a shop nearby, and it was quite good. The Think Thin (brownie crunch) does not taste like brownies, does not have a crunch, and will make you thin because you'll rather not eat than eat it. Yuck!
(I'm giving it 2 stars because it is supposedly healthy, so if you can choke it down, you at least have that going for you)
Healthy Fuel When You're on the Go November 11, 2009 Jennifer PC (Portland, OR) I am addicted to the Think Thin bars. I have Celiac's Disease (gluten intolerance) so quick, on the go food is not always easy to find for me. The Think Thin bars help alleviate that problem by offering practically a whole meal in a bar. I ALWAYS have them on me when I travel, or when I'm having a busy day running to and from meetings, and often eat them for breakfast on a regular day, too. I was at first concerned by the long list of hard-to-pronounce ingredients, but my Naturopathic doctor friend told me that most of those were just scientific names for B vitamins. I love the crunchy peanut butter the best, but a friend of mine said that I need to try the white chocolate ones as well. Love these bars!
Fabulous November 2, 2009 M. Sullivan I have tried many different flavors but these are by far my favorite! My kids love them too and the protein keeps you satisfied for longer!
Might be healthy, but won't be buying again. . . . October 30, 2009 J. Woehl (Holland, MI) I've tried a number of protein bars or low carb type, and would have to say that these were the least enjoyed. In fact, the taste did so little for me (not to mention aftertaste), that I pitched the last four. I hate wasting food, or anything for that matter, but the alternative was to let them go stale in the pantry. The texture was decent, but taste -- ugh -- waste of calories.
I live on these things... October 15, 2009 MCS I have tried many of the Think Thin bars and the chunky peanut butters are my favorite... not to sweet and a good consistency. I go through a lot of them, as they have helped me loose and maintain my weight. And they just taste good.
