Prilosec September 4, 2009 Paulette A. Brooks (North Wilkesboro, NC) I have been using Prilosec for about 4 years, doctor recommended. This product is wonderful. If you take one each morning you don't have to worry about heartburn or acid reflux.
BEST OVER THE COUNTER ACID REDUCER August 29, 2009 A. BALLABENI (Hickory, NC) Prilosec starts working since the first dose. I like to prepare spicy meals accompanying them with a glass of red wine every night and Prilosec keeps my heartburn under control.
Definitely I recommend this medicine to anybody who is suffering heartburn and/or acid reflux.
Same as any other Prilosec August 22, 2009 Philippe Hajjar There's no difference between this Prilosec and the kind you get at the store. I only bought this because at the time it was the cheapest per-pill price I could find, including shipping.
acid reflux August 15, 2009 Bette Ann value Prilosec is a product that works for me. I am no reflux using this product.
The cheapest way to control acid reflux August 14, 2009 Elisabeth Price (St. Louis, Missouri) When my insurance company refused to pay for the proton pump inhibitor prescribed by my doctor (Prevacid) because other medicines prescribed caused acid reflux, I had to think of some way to prevent Barrett's esophagus, which could be a prelude to esophageal cancer. Prevacid and other prescription proton pump inhibitors were unaffordable for me in the United States, so for a while I had to get them abroad. When Prilosec became available over the counter it was cheaper than that and to my happy surprise worked just as well as Prevacid for me. The absolute cheapest way to obtain it is to get an Amazon subscription, which is also the easiest because it comes floating through the door by mail and because Amazon's stock of it has so far been completely consistent (far from the case in drug stores). The price beats Walmart's and that of discount drug stores and also the retail clubs like Sam's. I have to cancel an order from Amazon from (and this is permissible): otherwise a six-week supply would arrive every month. The system works very well for me and I hope it lasts a long time. Prilosec is an effective drug for acid reflux. It is only recommended for a two week course for most people, and this should settle a temporary acid reflux problem, but some, like myself, need it on an on-going basis as recommended by their physician. I have received advertising material suggesting that Prilosec be used to overcome the consequences of unjudicious indulgence - "eat all the nachos you want at the ballgame!" - but this strikes me as quite unhealthy, and I wouldn't recommend it.
