yummy and convenient September 5, 2008 As a gastric bypass patient, I'm always looking for "snacks" that are either "low in calories, high in protein," etc. and this fits both bills. Even has 5 grams of fiber, and who CAN'T use more of that in their lives, huh?
Helps Tide Me Over August 30, 2008 I usually work out in the afternoon, just late enough that lunch has settled and I can elliptical or run without feeling sick, but early enough that when I'm done and showered, I don't want to eat anything and spoil my dinner. These have been great because it ensures I'm drinking water afterwards, and it doesn't leave me feeling ravenous by the time I sit down to actually eat.
I have found that the packets work well in 32 oz of water versus the recommended 16. That leaves the flavor a bit lighter, and I've never had issue with the chalkiness described by some. I tried it in a cup once, and definitely have to say stick with a bottle, it takes some vigorous shaking to make it all dissolve, but well worth it. It's a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay for the convenience and I can reuse water bottles.
Yuk August 9, 2008 Taste was quite strong and left a bad after taste in my mouth. My friends did not even like the taste. I ended up throwing these out.
Great supplement to push away the cravings! June 11, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Alright, first time reviewer here! I would like to say I find this product irreplaceable now, and I will be using it a lot in the future. The package as you can see comes with 5 grams of whey protein and fiber, and if you know whey protein then you know it is very important to ingest fiber along with it. It will allow your body time to absorb/metabolize the protein better... or at least so I read in Men's Health! Feel free to check that out yourself. As for the taste, one packet is _VERY_ sweet, and I use it in a 32 oz water bottle along with fresh fruit and it works wonderfully. I'll eat a healthy breakfast and lunch, and typically I would be hungry again by 3 to 4pm, but with one packet of the K2O I can easily fend off the cravings until 6 or 7pm, as I drink it slowly. It has been one of those wonderful miracle items for me that I will continue to use for some time.
good, but not the best March 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the high protein/fiber and low calories. But this didn't taste like real tea. I have also tried the kiwi strawberry and pink lemonade. I like the pink lemonade best and kiwi strawberry least. Overall, the product is not bad. It dissolves completely and does not have aftertaste. I just wish it would taste more like real iced tea. It reminds me of those dry tea mixes. Give it a try. But before buying a bunch of one single flavor, try them all first.
