Product Description You can manually chop foods for salads, garnishes, and other recipes. Frankly, using a food processor is more practical. But affordable food processors were too small and large capacity processors were unaffordable. So Black & Decker has developed the Power Pro 2 to bring you what you've been looking for. And it's friendly for you and your kitchen. Effortlessly slice, dice and chop your way through countless meal preparations. With a 500-watt motor and a large-capacity bowl, it can handle tough processing tasks like chopping meat, pureeing lentils or kneading dough. With a reversible disc for slicing and shredding, chopping blade to chop or mince and dough blade, your manual chores fade as you appreciate the creativity and results of your culinary skills. Convenient, easy-clean soft-touch on/off pulse control with dishwasher-safe removable parts. Includes food pusher and lid with food chute. So the art of cuisine is within the concepts of mind. Let the FP-1500 help with the preparation. Dough blade for bread or pizza dough and homemade breads Removable parts are dishwasher-safe

breaks easily November 16, 2008 I have been using this about 3 times a year for the last couple years, and now the plastic lid is broken. The little lip that pushes down the mechanisim behind the handle that allows it to run broke off and I even tried to superglue it but it broke right off again. So now I can't use it even though the motor still works fine. I either have to find a new lid or just toss it. What a shame.
Black and Decker make worst appliances June 8, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Some years ago I bought a BD food processor. It worked four times then the gear inside cracked in half. Recently I was stupid enough to give them another try. This one worked exactly three times,now it makes a grinding noise and does not spin. How do they sell these?
the run stop and roll March 4, 2007 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
hello review land my wonderful B/D ran for a minute then stop then now its about to roll its self right out of my house...! ok so this is how it happen my husband so sweet brought me the food processor for x-mas and i was happy i didnt use it at first until about month later i used it, it was great was smiling ear to ear because i never had a food processor before and i cook and never had the honor to have one soo i got one then after that i wanted to use it over and over for little things but du du dun i wanted tacos one night put cheese in the grater it stopped and told me no more ok so i used cold cheese it was my first time but hey if it can cut nuts or other hard stuff why not plus cheese doesnt stay hard nuts and etc does so it stopped i thought oh no my food processor i really thought it was a great machine until i saw more people like me with the same problem this has got to be a sign for tv land lovers if you want a food processor dont go cheap or adless look at the reviews first if i did i wouldnt had my husband buy it for me but now i am careful with hard things since i know nothing is for certain an plus if it says it can do anything sometimes it can but yea most of the time it cant. so like i was told for blenders cut it up first or melt it down first or just dont do it if it takes up to much work and time to prepare or even to do. soooo dont buy it unless you like fixing food processors then this is the one for you but of course your not so dont buy it if you know whats good for you!{note: thumbs down soldier ): }
Reversible slicer/shredder disc doesn't work December 28, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wish I can rate it as no stars! Save your money. This was a complete disaster. The reversible disc doesn't work. The shredder-side of the disc isn't sharp enough to shred. Can't even cut my finger on it even if I tried.
The cup is very flimsy! Too bad it cannot be returned since it was a present for my mom!
They don't make them like they used to September 8, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I had a Black and Decker processor that I got as a wedding present over twenty years ago, and it never let me down once. When it was time to get a new one, I got this 1500 thinking that it's a B&D and I can't go wrong. Well as as soon as I tried to grate some cheese the plastic ring on the shredder/grater blade snapped off. The next time I used it a metal pin in the pastic cover that holds the blade securely broke the plastic groove it was in. Too bad B&D went down the drain through the years.
