Amazon.com Review With an 8-cup work bowl and a built-in continuous-flow chute for slicing or shredding foods like cabbage into a separate bowl, this 350-watt food processor is versatile as well as inexpensive. It's great for a small household or an occasional cook who wants the convenience of food processing but doesn't need a big, powerful machine. With its stainless-steel chopping blade and reversible slicing/shredding disc, the processor does everything its more powerful counterparts do: slices, shreds, chops, mixes, and minces. It has two speeds and a pulse control, and all removable parts are dishwasher-safe. To the top of its feed tube, the processor measures 13 inches high, and it's 9 inches wide, including the work bowl's handle, and 16 inches deep, including the continuous-flow chute on top the work bowl. The processor comes with a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

cracked plastic June 2, 2008 Bowl made of thin plastic which gradually cracks out. Also leakage problems. Wouldn't buy again.
Great Power for its size May 4, 2008 This is a great processor for its size. I've used it for everything from vegetables to nuts. We've had it for 3 years. It is easy to wash and store. Like all processors, you cannot overfill and expect consistent texture.
It comes with many functional attachments.
Great buy!
poor craftmanship December 6, 2007 After purchasing this "economy" model I have learned my lesson. You get what you pay for! With less than half a dozen uses the plastic container cracked. Replacement parts are outrageous. The next time I will invest money (and research) in a more durable brand.
Not very robust. Replacement parts cost MORE than the whole boxed unit. May 23, 2007 The reviewers who complain of cracked plastic are all too correct. The plastic top piece cracked under pressure (grating asiago cheese) and the bottom tub piece's edge broke as well (albeit after numerous uses) that made using it difficult.
But the top piece shouldn't have cracked. Not when it's meant to grate cheese.
Note, I had bought a second unit after losing the slicing blade. Ordering directly from B&D, they wanted $35+S&H for just the slicing blade. The local store (not walmart) had the whole unit NEW for $30. (prices may have gone down since then.)
I'd buy a unit with a better tub and cover. Regular usage is going to render this an oddly shaped paperweight fairly quickly if you use it for anything more dense than onions.
ok, if you're not needing it on a daily (or even weekly) basis August 26, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this processor for nearly 3 years and was generally happy with it, but I only used it ocassionally. However, now that I have a baby, I'm making all her food and using the processor quite frequently. I have poor results when I try to grind uncooked grains, and yesterday, as I was setting the bowl on the counter the plastic rim cracked and broke off the bottom. It is now useless. I think I will replace it with a different brand. For a frequent user, it's not great. Also, I must mention that on several ocassions it was hard to unlock the bowl from the base and also remove the plastic top that locks in.
