Aiwa HP-CN6 Noise-Canceling Over-the-Ear Headphones February 11, 2006 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
sublimems@yahoo.com. was the supplier for this product. We did not have a chance to use the product itself from this supplier, since this was a duplicate. We were pleased that Sublimems @yahoo.com promptly took care of a problem we had returning their merchandise. They're help renewed our faith in using Amazon.com for future purchases.
Nice idea with mediocre execution June 18, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these headphones after briefly trying a friend's pair. The price was low, but so is the comfort level. They sit a little too tight on my ears, so I don't keep them on for more than 30-60 minutes at a time. Also, the fabric covering the speakers wears out and rips off over time. My friend's pair eventually snapped in half (though he is a heavy headphone user).
Also, the headphones block out low frequency noises pretty well (especially on an airplane), but I can still perfectly understand what people are saying. Part of my intention with these headphones was to block out people-noise so I can better concentrate at work.
Average headphones. November 27, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this pair of headphones back in August 2003 for $3 at a now defunct store. The audio quality is slightly improved, but after months of heavy and repeated use, the noise cancellation became just annoying. The audio seems to shift more or less to the right earpiece when the processing is turned on. What I did like the headphones is the increased bass response, but in turn the circuitry is not sophisticated enough save battery energy. The big problem is the wearability of the headphones, the design compresses the top of the ears - which can be painful after minutes of usage. Also, the paint isn't exactly durable, but the interesting part is the cream/beige underlying plastic color shows. A good use for the headphones is running lawn equipment, to reduce some engine noise (which is relegated to this task now [snickering]).
This model is replaced by HP-CN6, a slight update to the HP-CN5 but at today's prices ($30+/-). This revision drops the translucent coloring that lasted for a couple of years in the market and replaces it with a spray of matching silver coloring and updated badging. After company acquisition, Aiwa is now Sony's "value brand". One of Sony's noise canceller headsets are based on this model, and also other brands.
Don't buy it November 15, 2004 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
1. Ready to pop off your head if you moves. 2.Very uncomfortable. After 5 mins you want to take it off. 3. Noice reduction does not work. When turns on, the white noise if louder then the noise you want to cancel.
Bad out of box June 18, 2004 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This set of headphones were bad right out of the box..I have co-worker/friends that have purchased the same product ( refurbished by the same company ) and most have failed to work properly within 2 to 5 days..problems like ( canceling feature doesn't work at all..Humming noise..or bad sound quality ) I wouldn't waste my time or money sending product back to this company..as they can't fix them right the first time..(...)..
