So far, so good October 2, 2008
Received it pretty quickly with Prime (Highly recommended, btw)...Fits very snugly onto the 54inch board and has a good surface as far as I can tell...Little bothersome that it has stayed a bit wrinkled out of it's packaging but perhaps that will improve over time...The silicone surface should work well for ironing and avoiding scorches but it's early.

I just got it last week and used it. It fit the ironing board. I bought one at a store and had to take it back as it did not fit the board. It was really great and it helped with the ironing because it stayed "warm" while ironing and helped with the other side. I am so glad I ordered 2 so i have one incase my cat decides to scratch it as she sleeps on the board!!! Would recommend it without a thought.

The Whitney Design 2020 Blue-Silicone 54-Inch Ironing-Board Replacement Pad and Cover is similar to the pad/cover sets that I've used in the past--but it is now MUCH improved. The pad and cover are fused together and have a very tight automatically self adjusted fit; no more constantly adjusting to fit or having to re-tie the cover due to constant slippage.
This pad/cover set is terrific.

Easy to put on the ironing board and I expect it to last for years.
