 Good Customer Service and GPS November 18, 2008
This is my 8th GPS at the last 5 years. I think I'm getting a best GPS now on both the GPS itself and Customer Service from Magellan. The GPS loaded with 1Q 2007 map which is very up to day. The GPS position locked in 10-15 sec. Text to Speech on street name clear and the speaker is very loud. Voice Command is only a good toy, fun to try but the control is very limited. Routing is one of the best I have used, It keep you on the main street and re-rout is take less than 5 sec. It doesn't tell you make a U-turn on a busy street. I saw a lot of bad review on Magellan Customer Service, but I have to call and email to them 3 times. The 1st time is my 1st unit working for only 3 days and it doesn't found the GPS signal. I called on Saturday afternoon hope it will be some one will pick up the phone, it does in 2 min. The customer service rep help me teated the unit on the phone end up give me a RA# for repair, email from Magellan with all information in a short time after I get off the phone. Shipped unit back for repair and when I call to follow up the repair, they pick up the phone in 3 min and told me the replacement unit was shipped out, also received email later. Turnaround time is little long (2 weeks)! I have to email customer service one more time because the traffic subscription I enter to the old unit get exchanged to the new one without it. I email on Wednesday night and Customer Service call me back the next day morning and email another code to me at the same day. Good service I don't think I can ask more!

The Magellan Maestro 4250 is an excellent product! Turn by turn is very accurate. Very easy to set up and program. The voice is understandable and the click for each move is a great help when navigating unfamiliar roads. The colors on the large screen are vivid. If you plan to use your GPS on a day-to-day basis, you should buy the updated maps.
I recommend this product.

great gps , pros: very accurate,cons: the price of map updates. OVER ALLL IM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE UNIT: I WOULD RECOMEND THIS UNIT BUT I WOULD HAVE LOVE TO HAVE OWNED THE 4370 MAESTRO
 Magellan 4250 refurbished November 16, 2008
This was my first GPS ever purchased. It was a gift for my wife. The unit kept freezing and rebooting both when using different functions and when it was sitting idle. Returned it for a refund. Shouldn't have gone the refurb route.
Five star plus November 16, 2008
Have used this product heavily since purchasing and it has done everything perfectly- as advertised. This was a replacement for a Magellan Roadmate 700(North America). I feel as if I made a perfect purchase in buying this product. Quite frankly, I didn't pay enough for it. Wonderful deal and product. The only negative may be the bluetooth feature, but that was not an important part of my reasoning to buy it.
