Good Value for Price October 21, 2008 I bought these little locks for a recent vacation and they worked fine. All four locks can be opened by the same, TSA approved key, which makes digging through luggage a breeze. The only reason I didn't give this item 5 stars was because the locks are so puny, I have a feeling they can be busted easily. But for extra peace of mind they're great!
great for the money September 24, 2008 These locks are great for the money. A couple of notes 1. A previous review mentioned that it's possible to unlock by pulling the shackle - I was a little concerned when I made the purchase - and I did a test immediately after I received mine - I stick in a screwdriver and tried my best to pull - nope it refused to unlock. Not sure if this is because of a different batch, but hopefully this can help some potential buyers make their decisions. 2. The keys and locks appear to identical, 1 key works for all locks. This is a plus for me as I don't need to worry if I lost a couple of keys(there are 8 in total). If you want more security, it would be minus.
Don't Bother September 1, 2008 I wanted to secure items and not fumble for 4 different keys. I may or may not have ever used them on a commercial plane. I was swayed by the brand Master Lock....must have been a Master reject. The shank was so thin I could bend it with my hands and it was so limited in range that aside from minor applications they are useless to me! The photos make them look bigger and more imposing than they are in person. I should have known for the price but......
Well Built - Sharp Edges August 13, 2008 These are well built brass locks, as other reviewers have pointed out. The overall quality is high, however, the edges of the lock are sharp and can damage leather luggage. With rounded edges, these locks would be a five-star item.
Waste of Money July 19, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
TSA locks are a waste of money. I had one, and it lasted one trip. TSA took the lock off, but didn't put it it back on. So, locked bag to security, and bag with no lock after coming out of baggage claim. Why bother? If you really need a lock, lock your bag before the airport and after it comes out of baggage claim. You can use a better, more secure lock then.
