Recently ordered this downsized trimmer. Deliberately chose the smaller hedge trimmer so my wife could handle it easier since her hands are much smaller than mine. Any way being lighter I was able to do more work because I wasn't arm weary from holding up some bigger and heavier trimmer. I am an out of shape ole geezer whose seen better days so a tool that is not only lighter but does the job well was fantastic. So far I really am glad I bought the trimmer and with the 25.00 gift certificate given to me by Amazon, I think I paid 16.00 for this trimmer which included shipping. Pretty happy so far with this trimmer.

Perfect size for trimming rounded shrubs October 6, 2007
The 14 inch blade is the perfect size for trimming rounded shrubs. Most new trimmers have longer blades that are more useful for hedge rows, etc. A little more power would be helpful.
