Product Description 18V, 1/2", Cordless Compact Drill/Driver Kit, Delivers 400 INLB Of Maximum Torque, Built With 1/2" Keyless Ratcheting Chuck, All Metal Planetary Gears, Includes 2 "XR" Battery Packs, Charger & Kit Box.
Amazon.com You need power, but you don't want to hoist a ton. Here's the answer. DeWalt's revamped 18-volt compact drill/driver delivers on both counts, with a 1/2-inch chuck that grips beefy bits, an 18-position adjustable clutch, and a high-performance motor for the torque you need, packaged in a truly lightweight, comfortable drill. The variable speed has a high and low range for any application, and the reverse switch is right above the curved trigger for easy access. The included charger juices up a spent battery in an hour. We especially like the light weight, even more so because it doesn't cost in the power department. Lots of pluses: on-board bit storage, two batteries, hard case. We think contractors will be pleased with this drill, especially after a long day.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

So far so good. November 3, 2008 I purchased this Dewalt to replace an old Crapsman I've been unhappy with for a long time. I haven't used it a lot yet but so far I've had no issues with it. I'm still running off of the first charge on the first battery. I like the smart charger. Not only CAN you leave the spare battery on the charger, it's recommended you leave it on the charger to keep the battery's charge balanced. I like the torque. I like the easy to use chuck. It seems to be a solid, well made tool.
great drill, video instructions available October 17, 2008 Love this drill. We made a video manual for similar DeWalt 720KA drill on HandBookLive.com (under Tools). The drill is very simple to use, but if you are more visual and don't want to to read instructions - this is a quick way to see what it does, and how to use it. In my opinion the video is more useful for woman like me, who want to feel more comfortable using a drill for the first time (I remember using a screwdriver forever because I just wasn't so sure what kind of damage I can do with an electric tool). We bought it when we decided to build a loft and didn't want to use our cheap drill for such a big project. We use it all the time for quick fixes around the house. This drill is light and feels great in the hand. The speed control is very good too. And I never used to bother with speed controls on my drill before. Have fun with it!
new drill September 24, 2008 I like the Dewalt DC759KA because it is compact, powerful, has a easy to use chuck and has two batterys.
Very Nice drill September 21, 2008 I was afraid of buying this due to the other reviews detailing the chuck wobble. Even though AZ had a great deal i avoided the purchase. I was at the orange home center when I saw a good deal on a package dewalt drill and circular saw. Not realizing that the drill included was the same DC759, I purchased the kit.
I checked the drill out real carefully, looking at the chuck to see if it wobbles. It appeared that it did wobble, yet when I drilled a hole, the hole was perfect.
I have no problems with this drill. It has plenty of power, drills a perfect hole and drives screws effortlessly. It is a little heavy, but I have problem working with it.
Highly recommended.Especially at the price AZ has it for. If I am not mistaken, Dewalt has a 90-Day Money Back Guarantee, so what do you have to loose?.
