Sturdy, but basic and not universal December 7, 2006

Shipment of this item was quick, but the item itself was a little disappointing. The material is sturdy enough, and the strap quite adjustable by length, but the small connecting metal piece was actually too small to connect the strap to my Toro air blower (which is why I ordered it at all), and only one connecting piece is provided, so there is no selection for larger or smaller attachment surfaces.
Also notably missing is any kind of pad. This strap would be much improved by the addition of a shoulder pad of some kind that could be slipped along the strap, or optionally removed. For a "universal" strap, it seems poorly suited to items with handles outside a certain size or beyond a certain weight.
To be fair, I managed to jury-rig a solution, and am making use of the strap now, but it is neither as comfortable nor as convenient as I would have liked.
