Product Description A unique blend of plant oils approved by the FDA as food additives. Nonselective insect killer. Effective on most insects including ants, aphids, caterpillars, centipedes, chinch bugs, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, fleas, flies, gnats, grasshoppers, millipedes, mites, mosquitoes, pillbugs (sow bugs), scale, spiders, ticks, whiteflies, and many more. Non harmful to plants. Can be used on vegetables, ornamentals, lawns and entire landscape. Product provides residual repellent effect for up to 30 days. May be applied to edible plants up to the day of harvest. Safe around children, pets and wildlife. The active ingredients in these Green Light Products are unique, patented formulations made from plant oils and other ingredients widely used as food and cosmetic additives. These plant oils kill insects by blocking specific neural pathways that do not exist within mammals or birds. These plant oils attack the Octopamine neuro receptors. Octopamine is a key insect neurotransmitter that regulates insect movement, behavior, and metabolism. The blockage of the receptor activity prevents the transmission of the Octopamine signals which leads to certain characteristic signs of toxicity such as excitation, hyperextension in the hind legs and abdomen, followed by immobilization and/or knocks down, followed by death. This process will begin immediately. Mortality can occur within minutes of application, but may take hours depending on the type of insect pest and concentration of product that contacts the insect directly. Bioganic can be used up to the day of harvest on vegetables and other edible plants.

Works sort of ... November 5, 2008 Fast shipping! This product sort of works. I'd been having ants in my kitchen and I didn't want to use anything around food that would be toxic so I order this product. I sprayed it on the ants and it did kill them but it took a little longer than traditional bug spray. The ants would still be alive for a few minutes after spraying them with this so the ants would crawl around and keeping coming until the product kicked in. The smell is pleasant and it doesn't leave a greasy sticky mess. I haven't tried it on any other insects, but black ants and I haven't tried it outdoors, just indoors. It's not a permanent solution to bug control. Eventually the ants kept coming into my kitchen and I had to call an exterminator. I'd recommend this product if you have just a couple of little bugs you want to get rid of and you don't want any toxic sprays around food, children or pets. Otherwise, for a large infestation or reoccurring infestation, this product doesn't really help with that.
Easy pre-mixed alternative July 15, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product is not only effective but also convenient. There's no more mixing horticultural oil and other home remedies that clog sprayers and leave messy residue. I tried it on some indoor tropicals for mealybugs where home remedies failed. It worked in one application. Drips clean up easily and there is no adverse effect on the plants. The smell isn't offensive, clearly clove, wintergreen and thyme.
Great alternative to chemicals April 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product is awesome. Works great and smells great too. I used this around the perimeter of my house both inside and out. Also stops ants in their tracks. The product can also be sprayed on shrubs and trees as well to control insects though they recommend not doing this in full sun. This product is very forgiving. If you accidently overspray it will not matter b/c it's non toxic.
Not for vegetable gardens!!! April 11, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product burned every plant I tried it on! Cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, etc. Yes, I follow the direction carefully. I sprayed in the evening after the sun was going down, I mixed it slightly 'less' strong than it called for, after seeing the big burn your plants warning on the side of the container. And I spray just a few leaves of each plant, so not to kill anything. Just like the direction stated. There is nothing in my garden I could use this on, as it burnt everything, except a woody plant (blackberries). Also it stinks so very bad, and it stays with you for some time. Oh and reading the container it seems to me that it will only kill what it hits, no residue effects. Ok so that's my review, hope I saved someone this $15.00 lesson.
