The TracRac KayakMount accessory is amazing. What I really like about this is that it is SOLID like their rack and it is easy to remove when not needed, you don't get that with Yakama and Thule! I actually purchased a Thule kayak carrier for my car, but returned it when I saw that it wasn't half the quality of the TracRac one.
You can't tell from the picture, but these things are amazing! They are by far the best design on the market. The bases adjust up and down and left and right to really fit your boat! And it it solid! You can tie your straps to the carrier, other manufactures won't allow that with their kayak carriers.
Unfortunately, this isn't going to fit Yakama or Thule racks, but I'll be trying to adapt mine to do so. I have the TracRac system on my truck and love it. But I want to use these on my car rack too.
