worktunes i.3 great upgrade from old worktunes! July 6, 2008
The new Worktunes i.3 is fantastic---I've waited for this for quite awhile. It's much more fun to have your favorite tunes from Ipod or mp3 rather than being confined to AM/FM and static. My only concern is just recently the right ear is not working. I haven't yet checked if its battery or if I need a new patch cable for my Ipod.
The earmuffs do a great job at lowering volume for my garden tractor--I have almost 4acres and so this is an important feature. Also compared to other ear protection---you don't have to blast the volume on your ipod because the noise reduction is better, the fit better and so you can listen to music at a safer level. I highly recommend this product! I use it in my workshop as well as when mowing or working in yard.

Great for a noisy office space to block out background voices/sound. I haven't tried the ipod attachment yet. Listening to am talk radio to block out office noise makes it easier to focus at work. Pretty comfortable too.

I have owned the original Work Tunes for several years and have been very happy with them. I purchased this model to use with an mp3 player. They work fine with the mp3 player, but the other reviewers are right, the radio reception is not very good. In fact, it is so poor that I use my old work tunes when I want to listen to the radio and this model is only used for mp3 playback. I'll probably wind up getting the digital work tunes model when I get tired of switching between these two units.

I owned the previous version of these headphones with just the AM/FM tuner and they were great. But I wanted to be able to use my mp3 player while mowing the lawn, using my router, etc., without using the mp3 headphones underneath the old Safety headphones. These fit the bill perfectly. I own a Sandisk mp3 player and had no problem with the volume level, BTW.

Works great in my wood shop, very comfortable, adequate sound quality to listen to audio books. Just bought a pair for my father to use in his shop.
