Best Hearing Protection November 16, 2008 These are the best hearing protectors available at a decent price. The microphones work very well too. I higly recommend these to any firearms enthusiast.
Peltor Ear Muffs-Tactical 7 Classic August 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used my Tactical 7 classic for trap shooting with good sucess. They dampen sound well and I can hear commands even with poor hearing. They do not interfere with mounting the gun. I would have rated them 5 stars if they would have come with a carrying case. They do not fold up into a small unit either. A very good thing about them is the battery installs from the outside and does not require the insides to be taken out. They are well made. I would buy them again.
Very nice product June 14, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was skeptical at first about the quality of electronic hearing protection, and of the Peltor brand. But after I bought the Tactical 7, I was thoroughly impressed. The only negative thing I could see, was that the microphones could be recessed a bit, and the foam was glued on cheaply. But that can be taken care of in about 5 seconds. Overall, great product, at a great price compared to other name brands. I deffinetly recommend it.
Excellent for the shooting range May 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently took a 4-day defensive handgun course at the Front Sight school in Parumph, NV. Aside from the excellent training, the Peltor Tac 7S ear protection (the one Front Sight recommends) performed flawlessly. I could hear the instructor's voice perfectly, yet the loud pistol concussions were hardly noticed. I've used both electronic and non-electronic ear muffs while on the range and the electronic perform much better. You can still talk to people and hear their response without the danger of hearing damage. Highly recommend.
Works great for the price. April 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Given the alternative (spending a ton) these work great. I use them in the indoor range with foam ear plugs underneath and can't complain. The shots are muffled and I can still hear people/instructors between shots.
Best bang for the buck. These are my first pair, but i've tried others and these work pretty well.
