A forward blade lock design simplifies locking and unlocking the blade. Graduated in 1/16-inch increments, The tape blade measures 25-feet-by-1-inch with up to an 8-foot standout. This tape measure is one of the best out there. Its chrome case makes it look good and since it's rounded, it's comfortable to hold. The actual tape is very strong and holds sturdy even across the length of the room. The lock mechanism works well and best of all, when you've got your measurement, it doesn't zip back up really fast and slash innocent bystanders with whiplash.
