The KX-TG9344T DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with All-Digital Answering System lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in, without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. The KX-TG9344T also boasts a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low, with a "please charge phone" reminder. We purchased the Panasonic phone system about a month ago and are very pleased with the features and more importantly, the performance of the phones. The four handsets are conveniently scattered about the house and the audible caller ID prevents us from having to look at the phone to know who is calling. The computer generated voice and pronunciation leave a little to be desired but is still a good feature.
Would recommend this phone set as a definite"BUY".

Clear reception over a long distance. I have walked around outside the house for some distance and have yet to drop a call. The scheduled "silence the ringer at night" feature is great. I don't have to remember to turn it off every night and back on in the morning.
I also love the way the phonebook is shared by all the phones. You don't have to enter numbers into each handset.
The handsets also use standard rechargable batteries that can be purchased anywhere if needed. When the batteries died on my old phone, it would have cost me more to replace them than it did to buy this new phone.
My only complaint is that I need to check the instruction manual to make adjustments in the settings, but I guess this is to be expected in a phone with so many features. The manual is clear and easy to understand.

Fortunately I read the reviews of a competing product that I almost purchased. I read the reviews of this Panasonic phone system here and purchased it instead and I'm glad I did.
This phone system is great in all respects.

The phones are a really great improvement to our Panasonic 2.4 GHz. No interference and great sound quality. We especially like the ability to identify some callers with different ring tones. When we are far enough away from the phone (usually in the garage and cannot hear the voice caller ID, we do know if it is one of our children calling by the ring tone.
Great value.

This is an excellent cordless phone with a good array of features. I've shopped around extensively (have looked at GE, AT&T, Uniden, VTech, & Panasonic) and just returned a GE DECT which was awful with significant product defects. I previously owned a Panasonic cordless with which I never had any problems. This new one also has perfect sound quality and is easy to set up and use. I appreciate the other reviewers pointing out the phone's features or lack thereof so I won't go into them here. It's nice to know the phone's strenghths & weaknesses before you buy it. I agree it would be nice if it showed how many messages there were and differentiated between old or new. Also if I could mark a message as "new" (ditto spouse issue!). The "night mode" on this one is a nice feature (can program bedroom phones not to ring at night during time you set). If you are looking for a multi-handset cordless system which includes a speakerphone/keypad on the base, I think this is your best option at a very good price.
