 Lightwedge is awful October 31, 2008
No kidding, lightwedge is absolutely useless. The light is uneven and much too low. The next step is the garbage can.
 Not for Super Fast Readers October 30, 2008
I'm seeking a book light currently that will do many of the things the Light Wedge promised to do.
Things it did perfectly: Had proper amount of clear light for reading, didn't disturb my husband who was snoring through my nightly read, and came with a very nice case.
Things it did horribly: It was cumbersome! My normal reading rate is extremely speedy - this slowed me down by about half my normal speed having to rearrange it each time I turned the pages. So in other words, I couldn't satiate my hunger to devour the book!!! And I noticed a lot of dust and fingerprints right away that were generally distracting.
I would suggest to the manufacturer to make a slimmer version using the same technology in more of a ruler shape with the light source above or below the spine (center) of the book and refracting around the 3 remaining edges of the rectangle. This would be less cumbersome for page-turning, but still retain all of the other great qualities of the product!

I possess excellent vision. In dim or low ambient light, this device simply adds nothing. It is not nearly bright enough to provide for easy reading. Don't waste your money.

My eyesight is fairly good and this wedge was nearly bright enough to read book-size type in a dark room.

Love it!! I bought the 'Translucent'style, thinking that it was a nice color. If I had it to do over, I would get the 'solid'style.I don't like seeing the batteries and the lights shining through the edge are distracting when reading in a dark room. Also,though the 'Light Wedge' is better than ANY book light I've ever used, I would like one more light bulb added for better coverage.
