Height-adjustable and equipped with a tilting, oscillating head and three speeds, this 96-watt stand fan provides plenty of options for cooling a room. With the center pole in place, the fan stands 46 inches tall. Removing the center pole reduces the height to 26 inches. At either height, you can tilt the fan from straight ahead to straight up. When pointing upward with the oscillation knob pulled out, the fan provides a rainbow arc, circulating air throughout a room. Disengaging the oscillation creates a steady breeze in a single direction. Most of the fan, including the fine-mesh safety grill and five fan blades, is plastic. But the stand is made of heavy metal for stability, and the base's swirl design provides even more stability. Assembly is simple, requiring no tools and just seven steps. I love this fan!! It was simple to put together. It's made out of metal not plastic and thus is not easily tipped over like those plastic fans. I received excellent service from the vendor - Shoplet. I received the fan within two days of ordering.

I bought this fan for my daughter. It is lightweight, and she put it together herself. The base is a little unstable on carpeting, but she appears to enjoy it.

 Quiet, good price - not very durable May 13, 2002

Very quiet, high quality motor. I put this one in our apartment complex's workout room. It worked quite well, with kudos to the sturdy round base and wide adjustment range on the head (you can tilt it straight up).However, after three weeks the retaining ring for the grill vibrated loose, which resulted in significant (though repairable) damage. We had a similar model in our office last summer. Ran it 60+ hours a week for months, no problem. The first time it tipped over, onto a hardwood floor, a blade broke and that was it. Overall this fan is good for the price, but if your usage and/or handling is heavy, then consider spending more for a more durable brand.
