| Customer Reviews:
Great product! Very Easy to Use. August 15, 2008 I wasn't sure what to expect when I got my Uglu strips. The stuff reminds me of the rubber cement I used when I was a kid, but it is in a strip like double sided tape and it is a lot stronger.
I tried Uglu for the first time two days ago to fix my bathroom towel bar which was coming off the wall. At first, I wasn't sure if it would stick, but the bar is firmly attached to the wall now and sturdy enough to hold towels. I'm actually quite amazed.
Thanks Uglu!
I t works July 10, 2008 It is like super strong double sided tape. I have used to reglue the plastic car molding.
mom July 7, 2008 I have used Uglu for kids crafts, fix toys, make garage sale signs and to hang Christmas lights. It is a wonderful product!!!
Problems Solved June 5, 2008 I was really suspect of this when a friend told me about it. She fixed a school project her kids were working on and said how easy it was to use. She used to use Glue sticks and Elmers, but, tried Uglu and it worked great.
I tried it to keep a vase in place on my mantle that kept wobbling - I ended up putting it off center a bit, so I peeled the piece up and put another one down - how easy is that. I also used it to glue a wood trim piece on my cabinet by the floor that kept popping up. I could not get the small nail to grab onto anything. I cut a small piece of the strip and put it on either side and it has not moved.
I find myself looking at all those small repair project I did not want to tackle before and thinking, I can do that with Uglu. This stuff really is cool!
UGlu works great! May 22, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I think this is a fantastic and simple to use product. So far I have used UGlu to repair: A TV cabinet door trim piece that popped loose A piece of loose automotive trim that rattled Two picture frames Secure a bracket to the wall before screwing it in place Attached a hanger for the dog's leash to the wall without screws Glued tabs on a sign for hanging the sign
The product can be trimmed to any size and shape needed. Use sharp scissors and clean the scissors before cutting. Cleaning first helps keep the tape in a roll from sticking to the scissors when cutting the tape.
When I've used some types of liquid glues and epoxies, I had it foam up or drip and make a mess of the job. Not with Uglu. This really is a simple, clean, and easy product to apply. Press firmly to the surface, peel off the protecting layer from the tape, and apply the other surface to be bonded, press firmly to ensure good contact, and you are done. There is no set up or dry time needed.
One other thing I noticed after I was done with my repair jobs was that there was none of the chemical odors that you get with some epoxies and glues.
I was puzzled by the permanent but removable comment in the product description but it's correct. This is a strong bonding tape, but you can peel it up from an edge and then pull it off if needed. I tried this on a section of kitchen counter top. The product is rubbery and stretches so just keep gently peeling and pulling up until the tape is removed. I had no reside when I pulled the tape off the counter, but if there is any residue, the instructions on the UGlu web-site says it can be removed with nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, or Goo-Gone.
To sum it up, this is as simple and easy to use as the company claims. I have a roll of the tape and a few packs of strips in my toolbox now. The pack Amazon.com has up for sale has an assortment of rolls, strips in different sizes in the pack, including two 3" X 3" patch. For home repairs where you would normally reach for a tube of glue, try UGlu instead, I'm very satisfied with my use of it so far.
