| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These countersunk ring magnets are 0.500 inch (12.7mm) outside diameter, 0.150 inch (3.8mm) inside diameter and 0.125 inch (3.2mm) thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Their individual pull force is approximately 3 lbs. Maximum working temperature is 176 F (80 C). Magnets may chip and crack if allowed to snap together.

Brittle... June 18, 2008 I bought these magnets for my daughter's science project and 3 or 4 split in half as she was separating them. They are very strong magnets and are fine once you have them in place.
These magnets are great May 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These magnets are much stronger than I thought they would be. Really nice. I like the countersunk feature which allows one to screw this magnet into a flat surface and maintain its flatness. I plan on using them to create a jig for setting joiner knives.
