Very Useful As Kitchen Ventilation Fan April 20, 2008 Although this fan is designed as room to room fan, I found it was easy to use as kitchen convection fan. I have small kitchen with a ventilation vent in the ceiling and didn't want to spend thousands on a range hood. The fan comes with a metal sleeve which I connected to the ventilation pipe going to the roof. it involved some cutting in the ceiling and plastering but fromt there it was easy to insert the fan and it draws all the stove fumes up nicely. The only problem was that in order to get the flow in the direction I wanted I had to rebend the propeller blades but otherwise fine.
Does what it says December 22, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this to move warm air from our LR to the rest of the when the woodstove is going. It gets too hot in the room and this does help. It's not the perfect solution, but it was cheaper than putting another doorway in just yet. It does require cutting a hole in the wall (obviously) so if you're not handy, keep that in mind. It's much quieter than the doorway fan we have. I'd recommend it.
