Solar lighting is the safest and easiest kind of outdoor lighting to install. It provides sufficient light for entrances, walkways, steps, or to indicate the location of dark obstacles. Each light fixture features a solar collector panel that converts sunlight into electrical energy. This energy is stored in rechargeable batteries used to illuminate the fixture at night. The batteries recharge in direct sunlight and should not have to be replaced for at least three years. Malibu Outdoor Solar-Powered Tiki Torch Light, 2-Pack #LZ604R2 The look of this product was great and quickly assembled as soon as I received it. However, the pole actually consists of 3 sections and, when assembled, was not very sturdy at all. The torch unit itself has some weight to it and therefore was rather top heavy. Also, the "stake" for the ground was not very good as well. I returned the product as I felt I would only be repairing it on a regular basis.

I got my Solar TIKI torches about a month ago--Easy to assemble and they work great. NIce on the patio of my Condo in my TIKI BAR.

The lights are great, however the plastic spikes that are used to put them in the ground break off VERY easily. I live in FL and have sandy soil. I was careful because I had broken one before but still had one snap. I had an older set, perhaps a different manufacturer...they had metal spikes.

The product is allright but your billing is desasterous!!!
I just had to call American Express to forfaith a payment of $35.86 to you that was made in triplicate!!!
Furthermore, I am still waiting for an $80plus merchandise return of an item several months ago, that was acknowledged but never credit to my American express card.

Great light.... Crappy pole September 4, 2008
As others have mentioned..... the flickering lights are very realistic and charming. They lasts for a least 4 hours (but its summer with lots of sunlight to recharge the battery). The main negative is the cheapo, flimsy pole. I will have to do some work to retrofit some new poles - before the first good wind breaks the original plastic poles.
