Product Description Bissell, Steam Mop, Hard Floor Cleaner, 100% Chemical Free Cleaning, Safe & Effective, Ready To Use With Water Only, Environmentally Friendly, 360 Degree Swivel Head, Washable Microfiber Mop Pads, Quick Release Cord Wrap, Slim, Lightweight Design.
Amazon.com Review Ideal for the chemically sensitive or those with small children, the Bissell Steam Mop deep-cleans hard-surface floors using the power of pure water alone. No harsh (or expensive) cleaners means no fumes or residues to irritate lungs or muddy delicate finishes, while the use of hot steam rather than buckets of water leaves floors dry in just seconds. Heated and ready to use in 30 seconds, the remarkably quiet mechanism works something like an iron: steam is dispensed on demand, rather than continuously, by pressing the trigger while passing the mop over the floor. Hot steam easily removes hardened and sticky gunk, especially if the mop sits over the mess for a few seconds. (Leave it in place 15 seconds to actually sanitize the cleaning surface.) The machine steams for approximately 15 minutes before the tank needs to be refilled, but there's no lag once you refill it. The Steam Mop's low-profile 360-degree swiveling head accesses hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, like under kitchen cabinets, while its compact profile stores easily in small spaces. Other thoughtful design touches include a quick-release cord wrap and easy-carry handle, as well as a built-in water filter to protect from the minerals and impurities in hard water. (An indicator lets users know when the filter need to be replaced.) Durable, reusable microfiber pads are safe on all sealed hard surfaces and clean up nicely in the washing machine, making them more environmentally friendly than disposable options. Measuring 6 by 11 by 45-1/2 inches, the Bissell Steam Mop weighs less than 7 pounds and is covered by a one-year limited warranty.--Mary Park

Does the job August 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son has a huge Lab dog that slobbers on the floor when you start getting his meal ready. The steamer works ok but is more effective on dirty floors if you use a floor cleaner to loosen the old slobber stuff before using the steamer.
Saved my hard wood floor! August 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love, love, LOVE this mop. I have glossy finished wood floors through out the downstairs and over two years ago I thought that I had ruined them by using an orange glow product that left it cloudy and oily. No matter what I did, it looked as if there were always foot prints on it and it needed to be cleaned. No products, nor a damp dust mop as suggested by many, would work. I was quoted anywhere from $10,000 to $12,000 to have them refinished. This mop deep cleaned and removed the film completely. I now use it whenever necessary, but have beautiful, shiny and clean floors again! This steam mop is worth every penny, and I would not take anything for mine.
Bissell Steam Mop August 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is one of the best products I have ever bought for tile floors. With two Boston Terriers and a lot of tile floors, I am always going for a mop. This is easy to use, and does a wonderful job with just steam. I have bought two, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs.
Works great, but be careful August 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Steam Mop is very efficient and does a great job cleaning tile and vinyl - but be careful - I ruined a section of my brand new floor when I left the Steam Mop in one place too long. The finish on that portion is now dulled - but very clean. The cord is too short for most rooms - I fixed easily by just adding on another 15' extension cord. Overall, I would recommended - but use with caution.
Disappointed but I should have known better August 24, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the third floor steamer I have purchased over the years. I gave to wanting something that looked easier to use so I went with this and it IS easy to use. But it does not work the way a steamer should. You have to have holding tank that can heat to boiling in order to get true steam cleaning. You need to see steam come out. This just seams to heat the pad with hot water which you then wipe over your floor. It leaves water that has to dry. My prior steam cleaners would pratically be dry seconds after you stopped. I could do a section of a floor and then put the furniture back right away. This one, I had to actually wait for 10 minutes or more before I could replace the furniture. I do not dare use this again on my sealed wood floor due to how much moisture it leaves behind. If you want something what works correctly, you need to wait the 10 minutes for it to heat up before you use it a second time. That is well worth the wait, rather than waiting for it to dry after you have used it. If I had only had vinyl floors I might be okay with this, especially if I was going from a mop to this. Having used other steamers that really used steam, this is a joke and a total waste of money. I should have known better than to go for convenience over getting the job done right.
