Product Description Winner of multiple awards for product innovation, the HydroRight dual flush converter quickly and easily turns your toilet into a water-saving two-button toilet. Our Quick Flush setting for liquids and paper reduces the amount of water used by up to 70% for liquids and paper, saving a family of four an estimated 15,000 gallons of water and approximately $105 per year. Unlike other dual flush converters, the HydroRight can be installed in less than ten minutes, without tools and without having to remove the tank. The HydroRight is GreenSpec listed, has an industry-leading five-year warranty and is supported by a customer service team of professional plumbers.
Because dual flush converters do not fit in every toilet. here are the exceptions you should know about before you buy:
(1) If you have a Mansfield toilet, you will also have to purchase a Douglas Style flush valve; (2) Your toilet tank must be a least 10 inches tall; (3) The HydroRight only replaces a standard size flapper (2.5 inches); and (4) If the HydroRight is installed in a toilet with an old ballcock, the arm of the ballcock might get blocked. In some cases, the HydroRight can be turned to compensate. In other cases, purchasing a HydroClean or other pilot-style fill valve may be required.

HydroRight Dual Flush Converter November 19, 2009 Barry A. Orourke (Sudbury Ontario Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is exactly as it is described in the promotional literature.
I took less than 10 minutes to install and adjust.
I did however have to purchase a Hydro Clean fill valve to replace the old ballcock filler valve.
As both products are made by the same company I would suggest they might consider selling them as a unit rather than separately.
I am completly satified with both products and recommend them to anyone interested in using less water, saving money and helping out the enviroment.
HYR270 HydroRight Drop-in Dual Flush Converter November 19, 2009 Marla W. Arbon (Lindon Ut USA) This is is a product that really works amd will save you a lot of water over time. The hardest thing is getting it to seal but before filling your tank remove the top of the unit and look dow to make sure you haven't pinched the gasket.
Flush convertor does the job November 5, 2009 Kozzy (Fort McMurray AB, CA) Overall, the MJSI HYR270 HydroRight does as advertised. It takes all of about 15 minutes to install and most of that is setting the flush level. There is no reason to shut off the water, and you only loose a gallon or so during the installation, you will need at least three flushes to get your settings where they need to be.
You will discover that your initial adjustment may be a little to close to the "proper" flush (IE actually completely flushes the material liquid/solid. A slight increase in volume setting will normally solve the issue.
Installed for about three weeks now, no problems outside of the initial settings, time will tell how long the unit will work. Build and quality look to be more than adequate.
HydroRight October 19, 2009 George West (Canada) The HydroRight Dual Flush convertor paired with a model 660 HydroClean float make a very good reasonably priced water conservation system & a good substitute for purchasing a new toilet. Once we got the system working, jt does all that the sales brochures advertise.
The only addition I would suggest is substituting a common 1 5/8" diameter hose clamp to secure the HydroRight mechanism to the overflow pipe
in place of the plastic ty-wrap providedhe ty-wrap doesn't hold in place securely enough & the assemble slides up enough over time, breaking the seal at the flush valve. The tank cleaning system is simple & eorks very well to keep the tank clean also
Ughhh! October 18, 2009 Eugene Bice 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is not easy to get the base just right. I tried and tried and the tank now leaks into the bowl and you can hear the toilet constantly filling up. I may just swap out the original parts and give up. It is an excellent concept but complicated to install just right.
