Product Description 3 pack of Single Speaker Rodent Repellers. Go Green! with non-toxic ultrasonic rodent repellers are specifically designed to repel rats & Mice. Mice and rats are the most common indoor rodent pest problem encountered by consumers worldwide. Rats and mice pose serious health risks, and traps and poisons come with a heavy price. Poisons can endanger children and pets while inhumane traps require the handling of potentially disease-bearing rodents. Neither poisons nor traps provide long-term protection since more rodents will likely replace the ones you've killed. It can be an unending cycle. Ultrasonic or Electronic Rodent Repeller puts the emphasis on non-toxic prevention, instead of after-the-fact toxic intervention. Ultrasonic rodent repellers emit high frequency ultrasound waves between 32 and 62 kHz to create an acoustically hostile environment that repels rodents from sound-protected areas, over the long term. Ultrasound is kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. The physical properties of ultrasonic sound prevent ultrasonic sound waves from penetrating solid objects like walls and floors. Therefore it is recommended to place one rodent repeller in each room of the location being treated for rodents. Ultrasonic waves are highly directional and will bounce off of hard surfaces to fill an enclosed area with high intensity echoes. Hard surfaces are cement, brick, glass, tile, etc. On the other hand, ultrasound is absorbed and dampened by soft surfaces, such as hay bales, feed sacks, stacked linens, etc..

I'm Impressed! February 27, 2010 Patricia J. Spaulding Based on the reviews of others about this and other products, I wasn't sure what to expect about how effective the Repeller would be, but from the day I received the product, I haven't seen any mice at all. I beleive the Repeller calls for 1 per 800 feet, and although I don't think my house is that long, it's pretty long, so I bought 2 per floor. Rather that's the reason for my success or not, it's working so I'm sticking to it!
No Mice. February 5, 2010 Mandeville When we plugged these in, there were mice in the house,so far I haven't seen any more mice after we caught those since we've been using these Ultrasonic Rodent Repellers. I bought the Repellers sometime in Nov, 2009.
Very Pleased! December 16, 2009 Mary Bell (Virginia) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have heard something or even things rather large, thought it was a squirrel but can't be sure, running around and scratching very loudly every day in the roof of my townhouse for the past few weeks. It was so active that I would pound the ceiling trying to scare it away, to no avail. I bought these thinking they were the ones that would work through the walls, but found out differently when they came in. I figured I had nothing to lose, so as soon as I got home, I plugged 2 into an extension cord and popped them rather quickly into the attic opening that is practically right in the center of the house. I am not exactly sure what was up there, but didn't want to come face to face with it, so I didn't take much care into placement, just pushed open the board enough for the speakers to fit through and shut it quickly as soon as it cleared. I was amazed when I heard not one little patter or scratch this morning. I sure hope they continue to do the job.
Don't work December 9, 2009 A. Mota (Sto. Dgo. Rep. Dom.) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you don't want to loose your money, please don't buy this trinket. Trust in me...
Didn't work at ALL for me November 2, 2009 Joseph Plummer (New Hampton, NH USA) 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
I started with the "Rat Zapper" because, if I was going to kill the mice, I liked the idea of it being faster and less painful than poison or conventional traps. It worked, but by the third mouse I started feeling guilty. (Yes they're dirty / destructive little creatures, but they're also cute and I just don't like killing things if there is a reasonable alternative.)
So, I reluctantly decided to try the "rodent repeller." (I've read mixed reviews on these "ultrasonic repellers," so I had my doubts.) Since I had some doubts, I knew I needed a way to test if it was actually chasing the mice away. I bought an "Eaton mouse trap" (the one that lets you "catch" and "release" the mice) for this purpose. ...If there were no mice in the trap, I could reasonably assume the "repeller" was doing its job.
I put the Eaton "catch and release" trap on the ground, pointed a "repeller" at it, and over the past 4 days I have "caught and released" a total of 6 mice. In other words, either the mice in my neck of the woods are wearing ear plugs, or this thing just doesn't bother them much at all. I'm sending the (3) repellers back. ...and if I end up catching another 6 or more mice, I think I'm going to have to invest in a more natural solution. (A cat.)
