I had the older version of this iron years ago. My mother wanted one after using mine and I was able to find one for her. We wore them out and could not find a T-Fal anywhere. When I saw them on Amazon I clicked "order now" pretty fast. The iron I had still worked but I started using this one right away. I was not disappointed. It gets hot enough, has plenty of steam and it truly glides
like it is waltzing over my clothes. I want to buy another to have on hand when I wear this one out! Thanks Amazon!

This iron is smooth to use, the water level is easy to see and refill. The iron has such weight that you do not have to "press" the clothes, the Ultraglide does it for you. Nice steam and spray pattern. I love it!

When my second Rowenta iron in 4 years began to leak all over my ironing board, I came to Amazon.com to buy another because it was supposed to be the best iron on the market. After reading reviews by customers who experienced the same problem, I began to look at other brands and found this T-Fal Ultraglide. Right price, for sure! I just finished ironing a 100% cotton tuxedo shirt with french cuffs (one of my toughest ironing jobs) and commented out loud "I LOVE this iron!" Lots of steam, light weight, you don't need to go over an area more than once (honestly!) and you can even removed little "boo-boo" wrinkles you put in yourself with a burst of steam at the press of a button. Also works on my linen clothes beautifully. I have not tried it on anything but the blast furnace, full steam setting, so I can not attest to it's ability to deal with silks & delicates, but feel confident in highly recommending this iron.

In an average week my time for ironing is usually a seven hour process. I always use the steam part of an iron, and have gone thru quite a few. This is absolutely the best! I hated all my previous irons where if I wanted a good steam to get out a wrinkle, the extra button had to be pushed constantly. This iron gives out the perfect amount of steam constantly, hardly ever have to use the extra steam button. Highly recommended, would never purchase anything but T-Fal Ultraglide...
