This is a great tool! After purchasing other gas weedeaters and having the gas engine not work, I find that battery powered tools are light weight and no gas to mess with. I am 6'4" and wish the length of the handle were longer by about 6 inches.

Believe me I was apprehensive about making this purchase.Being petite & having the handle adjust like this was one selling point. Read a lot of reviews here, glad I made purchase.So far ease of handling & trimming around trees, ornaments, base of house,it's terrific.Weighs next to nothing,guard protects base of trees, etc. They are right when they say, works right out of box...put battery on charger and ready in few mins. First time use, lasted long enough for yard work. Next time, more area, battery needed to be charged. Didn't take more than 45 mins. Since that happened, invested in another battery. One goes on charger, work trimmer/edger, then switch batteries.Great purchase.So far so good.Thanks Amazon for quick delivery and no hassles. Also, hangs out of the way, perfect lawn tool for me.

I bought this trimmer about 2 months ago and haven't had any problems. I wouldn't say it can do 3 football fields, like it's advertised on a single charge, but I don't need it to for my 0.5 acre property. I can usually trimmer my yard 2 or 3 times before recharging, and it takes about 30 minutes to fully charge. It's not heavy at all and has plenty of power for a normal yard trimming. I would highly recommend.

After researching alternatives to purchasing a gasoline powered string trimmer, I chose the WORX GT 18-Volt Electric Lithium-Ion battery powered trimmer-edger. My property is small (about 1/2 acre) and I have used this trimmer twice now as I write this. I especially like the lightness of this trimmer, the ease and quickness of charging the battery, the battery's long life before needing a re-charge, and the ease of converting from the string trimmer mode to the edger function.
Before purchasing this model, I considered the Black & Decker and Ryobi. I tried the 18v B&D, but it was heavier and within a month, the blade guard became loose and the string cutter flew off while in use. The Ryobi seems not to be on the market any longer, so WORX was my choice. So far, all of my comments are positive about this piece of equipment.
