Heated Electric Throw November 17, 2009 phyco (South Carolina) I really like this throw a lot. I've read some other reviews where people said that the blanket doesn't work but mine works fine. As for attaching the control to the blanket you have to make sure it *clicks* into the socket or it will separate. Heads up: for those of you thinking that some of the proceeds for this Breast Cancer Awareness throw goes to Susan G Koman beware; that donation program ended April 09 per the packaging of the product.
BCA Microplush heated throw November 16, 2009 G. Furch this product is wonderful. I love the plushness of the fabric. The controls are simple to use and understand. It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after 2 hours. And the pink represents Breast Cancer Awareness.
Nice and warm November 15, 2009 S. Ng This arrived a few days ago and I have been using it nearly every night. The ease of use is a plus and so far so good. It keeps me so nice and warm at night and that is exactly why I needed to get it.
Saving Money! November 13, 2009 HappyGirl21 This blanket just saved Christmas for my family. Last year at this exact same time, my electricity bill was over 100 dollars. In December, January, and February, my electricity bill was over 200 dollars. I narrowed the problem down to the electricity devouring electric heater and was determined to do better this year. I bought several of these blankets and draped them over the places where people hang out - the bed, the couch - with instructions to turn on the blanket instead of the heater. This blanket uses about the same amount of energy as a nice lamp or a small kitchen appliance and it produces tons of heat. My electricity bill now - 40 dollars - less than half of what it was last year. If I don't have to turn on the heater all winter, I can buy my guy the flat screen television he wants for Christmas.
Perfect for cold nights or days November 12, 2009 Gwen Pentecost (Pinetop, AZ) The throw doesn't get warm to the touch like a heating pad, but is nice and toasty when you're underneath it. Perfect for sitting in a chair and reading, or waiting until the fireplace heats up the room.
