I have replaced my Kenmore filter with two of these now and they work well. You just have to be patient and drain the water to get rid of all the air bubbles. If you don't you will have water leaking out on your floor. This happened the first time we installed it.
Now, if only my Kenmore refrigerator worked as well as this!

This filter fits the same as the Mfg replacement. We only drink water from the frig so for 2 adults and 1 water drinking child it lasted us 5 months before the frig indicator turned red. The only difference I have found is the negative pressure that I occasionally hear after the ice maker fills up, not a problem. Save your money, drink clean water! If they could only figure out a way to get crystal light to come out of these things!!!
