 Awful - smaller than appears, and arrived broken October 29, 2009

Plunger is far smaller in diameter than it appears in the photo. Mine happened to arrive broken in half as well because it was packaged so poorly, but that is independent of its useless poor design. This is a plunger for folks who want a moderately attractive token piece for decoration, not a functional plunger. Shame.

I recently purchased this item as a replacement for another, similar item I bought from Amazon.com awhile back. That item was poorly designed, in that it was forever "loosening up" where the two segments of the plunger handle were separated by the canister cover. The Cobra Products 500 has ingeniously solved this problem by having a ONE-PIECE handle (from top knob to the connection to the rubber plunger itself), and attaching the canister cover to the handle by means of a plastic, screwed-in fitting. The only possible drawback is that the rubber used in construction of business end of the plunger could be a little more flexible, but I'm hoping this will resolve itself with use. Nevertheless, this is the best item of its kind that I have seen, and it earns my highest recommendation: BUY IT - you will not be disappointed.

We wanted a more stylish was to keep a plunger in the bathroom. This is a very nice setup. The plunger is smaller and works really well. The steel cannister is easy to clean and looks nice.
